SolidDays 2019: How we passed the stress test
Not only at the SolidDays 2019 conference for 3D users CAD systems SolidWorks and We can't miss SolidCAM. This time we went with skins on the market and have become the exclusive technology partner of the traditional ModelMania competition.
This year's eight competitors tried to model a realistic component in 3D in just 20 minutes, with the modelling itself taking place on CAD stations in a ORBIT 3D Workplace. What do you think, did the engineers sweat more or our technology?
The task was quite difficult, so only three "model-maniacs" were able to complete it: the first one in 14 minutes, the remaining two just barely fit into the 20-minute limit. The winner of ModelMania took home a 34-inch curved monitor for his next design work, we took home recognition of participants and organizers from SolidVision for the impressively functional technological background of the competition.
Although all the designers were performing the same task at the same time, their high performance demands ensured only one Entry Level Server. Still, no one experienced any no slowdown.
The principle of ORBIT 3D Workplace was explained to all conference participants in Petr Čuda's presentation. This "must have solution" for graphically demanding users in engineering, high-tech segment and multimedia could then be tried out by absolutely everyone. As it turned out, Every SolidDays 2019 participant had their WORKSTATION TO GO in their pocket.
